My research fields mainly contain pneumatic structures, origami engineering, parametric design and fabrication, etc.
My research explores how flat sheet materials are welded to make interconnected pneumatic components (air pouches) into systems and further transform them into lightweight deployable structures. I aim to develop design methods that connect mathematical origami geometries with practical applications in architecture, product design, temporary spaces, and interactive environments.
